Provided below is important information regarding Flight School Training certification provide through the new programs available with the Post 9/11 GI Bill. This includes both Helicopter and Fixed Wing flight trainin programs. (Helicopter flight training at both Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) and Mid-South Community College (MSCC), and Fixed wing at MSCC.
Upper Limit Aviation, through our partnership with SLCC and MSCC, may be able to provide Flight Training to veterans who are eligible for Post 9/11 GI Bill Educational Benefits (your eligibility for Post 9/11 will determine the actual benefits available to you). Under the Post-9/11 GI Bill - Flight Training - Facts
If you are enrolled in any degree program that consists of flight training at a public Institution of Higher Learning you may be reimbursed up to the resident in-state cost of the training and may be eligible to receive your housing allowance and the books & supplies stipend.
If you are enrolled in any degree program that consists of flight training at a private Institution of Higher Learning you may be reimbursed up to the full cost of the training or the national maximum per academic year, whichever is less. You may be be eligible to receive your housing allowance and the books & supplies stipend.
If you are enrolled in any type of vocational flight training you may be reimbursed up to the full cost of training or $10,330 per academic year, whichever is less, you WILL NOT receive the housing allowance or books & supplies stipend.
ULA - Salt Lake Community College & Mid-South Community College Partnership
Upper Limit Aviation is partnered with Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) and Mid-South Community College (MSCC) to offer a Professional Pilot Training program for both helicopter and fixed wing aircraft (fixed wing training offered through MSCC only). ULA at Salt Lake City is an FAA approved part 141pilot school offering a thorough standardized curriculum. When enrolling through SLCC or MSCC, students have the option to enroll in the Professional Pilots Certification Program, or choose to complete the Associate of Science (AS) degree in Professional Pilot. This allows for students to be eligible for financial aid, federal funding, scholarships and grants.
Choosing an Approved Flight School or Helicopter Training - Post 9/11 GI Bill
1. Look for "Principles of Excellence: The "Principles of Excellence" are the governments guidelines for evaluating the educational institutions that receive Federal funding. Upper Limit Aviation meets the "Principles of Excellence". Your Post 9/11 GI Bill educational benefits might work for Upper Limit Aviation Flight Training, depending upon your eligibility.

Upper Limit Aviation - Post 9/11 GI Bill - Flight Training
Effective October 1, 2011, Vocational Flight Training will be payable under the Post-9/11 GI Bill,, "Approved training under the Post-9/11 GI Bill includes graduate and undergraduate degrees, and vocational/technical training. All training programs must be offered by an institution of higher learning (IHL) and approved for GI Bill benefits."
The new Post-9/11 GI Bill covers veterans’ tuition and fees up to the highest undergraduate, resident rates charged by a public institution in a state. Regarding Upper Limit Aviation's helicopter pilot training at SLCC and MSCC the paid fees may include the training in the aircraft, the flight instruction, and other related fees.
