Helicopter Flight Schools for Prospective Pilots
As a Part 141 flight school, ULA offers courses that may lead to a lucrative career flying helicopters for a living. Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) has the resources, through its financial aid department, to offer its students federal and state grants, federal student loans, federal work study, institutional scholarships and non-institutional scholarships in addition to traditional loans. ULA is a flight school located in Class Bravo (B) airspace at the Salt Lake International airport in Salt Lake City, UT. As an FAA Part 141 and Part 61 training facility, Upper Limit Aviation trains using in Robinson rotorcraft, an industry standard. Additionally, Upper Limit Aviation is also equipped for commercial operations with 135, 133, and 137 certificates allowing pilots to operate custom tours, charters, photo flights, agricultural and external load work.
In 2006, ULA was able to train from Private Pilot to Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) under FAA Part 141, and became the only flight school in Utah to be registered as a Post Secondary School with the Department of Commerce and Division of Consumer Protection. Upper Limit Aviation is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) as of 2009. The ACCSC has recognized Upper Limit Aviation as a 2010 ACCSC School of Distinction.
The Upper Limit Aviation helicopter training fleet consists of Robinson R22 and R44 models, as well as, Bell 206 series aircraft. In conjunction with the R44, instructors utilize a flight simulator for instrument training. Our utility aircraft include Bell 206 B & L series aircraft, as well as, an R44 Raven II.
