Steps to a Commercial Pilot Career
To launch your commercial pilot career there are some very important fundamental steps you must take.
Step 1: The first step is to submit your ULA application. If you have not submitted your application to to Upper Limit Aviation, you can do so by visiting one of three links below:
Step 2: The second most important step is to secure your funding, which may include applying for "financing" (loans), signing up for finanical aid, submitting scholarship applications, or all of the above.
Flight training is expensive. Financing your flight training is a critical component to becoming a commercial helicopter or fixed-wing pilot. We recommend that any student considering enrolling into a professional pilot program secure his or her funding sources prior to the commencement of training. The biggest mistake student pilots make is to start flight school underfunded.
Student Loans and Private Education Loans for Flight Training
For qualified ULA applicants there are several financing packages available through various lending institutions. Our private paying students have found success in raising the necessary funds by applying to one or more of the financial institutions listed below. Financial Assistance through Southern Utah University
The SUU Financial Aid office is your access point for:

There are unique funding opportunities for our students who are enrolled with ULA through our partner school, Southern Utah University. In order to be eligible for financial assistance through SUU you must be pursuing an Associates or Bachelor's degree program combined with your flight training.
We are able to to walk you through the SUU steps required to obtain the necessary funding for your training. SUU has access to various lenders. In addition, SUU has additional funding sources through their financial aid department to offer students Federal and State grants, Federal student loans, Federal work study program, institutional scholarships and non-institutional scholarships, in addition to traditional loans.
